Good day Friends.
The heat is on! That’s no news. That doesn’t always have to mean bad things, hard things, harsh things, or even be related to actual temperature. Sometimes it means all those things! The Celebration is over, at least the 40-year mark celebration of Mid Eastern. I still can hardly believe the time has zoomed by. Life is full of seasons of all kinds, and each one brings about a new celebration. Perk up and don’t miss this. This serves to remind us how much we should be thankful for. Blessings are abundant even in the middle of what we often think of as darkness. New stuff, new actions to take, and yep, the heat is on.
“Don’t miss the end.”
Nobody seems to like change, not even me for the most part but I do love the “change” word. If you want proof, just read something else that I’ve written. It’s somehow woven in and should be because it is one of the few things in our life that is certain. People, friends, family, employees, weather, processes, suppliers, customers, and even religious organizations are constantly changing. You can’t pick your family, but they do change and some even go bad on you.
Not all change is bad. Some changes are good or even extremely good. Now on to the next subject matter of this title. There is this neighbor thing. I’ve heard this saying for a long time about good fences making good neighbors. I have thought about that and have realized that there are different conclusions from that saying. I am not sure that the fences have anything to do with either of the neighboring parties becoming good or better. Don’t put too much into this, I’m just saying. If you have good neighbors, good ones don’t need fencing. At our Gaston location we have new neighbors and good neighbors, and we have been looking forward to having them for a while. They are in many ways just like Mid Eastern yet different in what they offer. This is an additional location. The company is privately held and owned by local folks. They are intensely service minded in everything they do, and they also serve you in the Trucking Industry. I have known this team of folks and their owner for many years, and we have done business both ways on many transactions. All of us are so pleased to welcome them and introduce them to any of you that don’t already know them. Truck Supply Company’s latest addition next door to Mid Eastern is now making the Old Sandy Run Road exit on Bellinger Lane grow and giving you another reason to stop. I-26 Exit 125. Their offering in the HD truck hard parts market is absolutely second to none. I have included a link here to the Truck Supply web site to best show the depth of the offerings they make available to you. We are looking forward to both companies serving you and thriving for many years to come.
